ABB installs Austria’s first charging stations for electric vehicles

In an effort to promote use of electric vehicles and bring down pollution and boost efficiency the need of the hour are efficient and convenient charging stations for these vehicles. Now ABB group has announced that they are the first such company to recognize this need and have set about installing charging stations in Austria. ABB have been successful to install network for direct current (DC) in fast charging station for electric vehicles in Austria.

The company recently installed three Terra 51 charging station in Schruns Rodund in Austria. The three charging stations will be officially launched on October 20 where all EV batteries can be recharged in just 15 to 30 minutes as against the earlier 8 hours using an AC current thereby saving time and making charging of all electric vehicles convenient and quick.


These systems will be supported by Network Operations Centre which will provide remote maintenance, software updates and network support to all such charging stations.
